The government approved the allocation of a billion shekels for infrastructure development in Judea and Samaria

The Israeli government approved the allocation of 1 billion and 75 million shekels for the development of access roads and other infrastructure “for new settlements regulated in Judea and Samaria.”

The budget is designed for 2026-2028. Of this amount, NIS 3 million is allocated immediately for pre-planning. After 45 days, the planning team is required to submit to the government a complete plan for the construction and upgrading of existing roads for all settlements approved since the beginning of the current government.

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport indicate that transport accessibility is a necessary condition for settling settlements and ensuring a “normal, safe and affordable way of life for residents.” Ministers say the focus will be on connecting settlements to employment and service centres, while addressing security and civil needs within the national transport system.
