Ben Gurion Airport director summoned to pre-sack hearing

Airports Authority Director General Sharon Kadmi has summoned Ben-Gurion Airport Director Udi Bar-Oz to a preliminary hearing before the possible dismissal of Ben-Gurion Airport.

According to Calcalist, the hearing is expected in the coming days and Bar-Oz reportedly intends to appear with his lawyers.

The reasons for the intention to fire Bar-Oz remain unknown, however, according to Kalkalist, the chairman of the board of directors of the airport management, Iftach Ron-Tal, the Minister of Transport Miri Regev and the head of the management’s working committee, Pinhas Idan, are aware of what is happening.

Bar-Oz took charge of the country’s largest airport just over three years ago. Prior to his appointment as Director of Ben Gurion Airport, he served as Deputy Director General of Operations for Airports Authority since 2008. Prior to joining the department, he served as commander of the air force bases in Sde Dove and Lod.
