Real Madrid’s Spanish left back Álvaro Carreras admitted that he had an “incident with a teammate”, which was “a specific matter of no relevance that has now been resolved”, at the same time that he defended that his “commitment” to the club and to the coaches “has been complete from day one”, after “certain insinuations and comments that do not correspond to reality”.
“In recent days, certain insinuations and comments have emerged about me that do not correspond to reality. My commitment to this club and to the coaches I have had has been complete from day one, and will continue to be,” the player wrote on his social networks.
The 23-year-old Galician footballer made the news this week for some images in which he appeared smiling when the Madrid team’s coach, Álvaro Arbeloa, chose Fran García, also a left back, as a substitute for the Frenchman Ferland Mendy, injured in the first minutes of this Sunday’s duel against RCD Espanyol in LaLiga EA Sports.
“Since I returned, I have always worked with the utmost professionalism, respect and dedication. I have fought very hard to fulfill my dream of returning home,” Carreras added in his statement.
A text in which he confirmed that he had an “incident with a colleague.” “This is a specific matter of no relevance that has already been resolved. My relationship with the entire team is very good. Hala Madrid!” concluded the Galician, after several reports spoke of a clash between Carreras and the German central defender Antonio Rüdiger.
