STOCK EXCHANGE: The Helsinki Stock Exchange continued its upward trend – Neste and Fortum on the decline

The Helsinki Stock Exchange ended up on Wednesday. The general index OMX Helsinki was up 0.41 percent at 13,788.41 points when the stock exchange closed. The ascent day was the Fifth in a row.

Shares started to rise on Wednesday as media sources reported that the United States and Iran were moving closer to peace. Interest rates fell and stocks benefited from the news.

As in recent weeks, the most traded company on the stock exchange was the network company Nokia, whose rise in the beginning of the week has slowed down. Nokian the share ended on Wednesday with a decrease of 0.7 percent.

The insurance company that published its results this morning Sampo refined the lower edges of its guidance forks with a more favorable end of winter than expected. The company’s price ended up with a 2.15 percent increase.

Another earnings publisher, a composite manufacturer Exel Composites was the biggest gainer of the day with its 11.57 percent increase. The company’s adjusted operating profit of 1.5 million euros exceeded the analyst forecast compiled by Factset, which expected 1 million euros.

By far the biggest decline in the Helsinki Stock Exchange was the one selling fundus cameras Optomedwhose share plunged 30.64 percent.

In the morning, Optomed published its results, which disappointed analysts’ expectations. The company was expected to grow according to both analysts and guidance, but turnover fell to 3.4 million euros from 4.0 million in the comparison period.

Bonds from construction companies

Construction companies YIT and SRV were active in the corporate bond market on Wednesday evening. YIT successfully launched a new 150 million euro green loan and SRV redeems the rest of its hybrid loan from 2016 and 2018.

The maturity of the loan issued by YIT is 4 years. New bonds are paid 3-month Euribor interest and a margin of 4.35 percent.

The bonds issued with a coupon rate of 4.875 percent redeemed by SRV have no maturity date, but the company has the right to redeem them in accordance with the terms. SRV will pay a total of approximately EUR 39 million for the redemption of the bonds.

Results of Lemonsoft’s purchase offer

A software company Lemonsoft announced the results of the purchase offer for the company in a press release.

According to the release, the preliminary result of the purchase offer is that the purchase consortium Rite Ventures can buy approximately 1.49 million shares with its purchase offer, which corresponds to approximately 8.38 percent of all Lemonsoft shares. The Offer price of Rite Ventures’ mandatory public tender offer was EUR 4.67 per share in cash.

Combined with Rite Ventures’ previous ownership of more than 50 percent, the purchasing consortium’s ownership of Lemonsoft rises to approximately 59 percent. This means control in the company, but not that Lemonsoft will leave the stock exchange.
