The actress on the call: “It seems that Rachel Zegler did one line too many”

The Met Gala event, which took place this week at the Metropolitan in New York, is known for its impressive fashion shows, and this year the glittering guests had to conform to the “fashion is art” dress code. The one who took the abstract message to the extreme is the actress Rachel Zegler – who stepped on a landmine as far as we are concerned when she came out against Israel before she clashed with Gal Gadot in “Shelgia”. Now, she is already at the center of another storm in the networks, which is not at all related to the unconventional look she chose to wear.

While many talked about the fashion choice — a white corset dress with a blindfold over her face — that drew inspiration from an oil painting by painter Paul DeLaRoche, “The Execution of Lady Jane Grey,” the decapitated former queen of England — others dwelled on specific documentation of Zegler from the red carpet, which quickly spread and sparked concern and ridicule.

The storm began with a video of the 25-year-old actress, which was distributed among others on X, in which she poses for the camera with the white blindfold on her face. But the attention was quickly directed to the repeated movements that Zegler made with her jaw while standing in front of the cameras. “It seems that Rachel Zegler did one line too many before the Met Gala,” was written alongside the documentary, which has already received more than three million likes, and thousands of comments and memes accusing her of using hard drugs, specifically cocaine.

“She seems to have done more than one line,” the comments read, along with others who claimed that the actress looked clearly “under the influence” and the apparent locking of her jaws was the result of “heavy cocaine use”; “It’s also because, you know, cocaine,” “took Snow White (Snow white) to a whole other level,” “She thought she was auditioning for ‘Snow White 2’,” “Too many lines of cocaine,” “It’s a ‘I just snorted a professional snooker ball’ look,” and “She’s totally the branch.” Others noted that Zegler’s unusual facial expressions are a typical sign of stimulant use.

Other comments that wondered “what is wrong with people in this industry” insisted that “this is not normal behavior”, while others thought that Zegler was trying to externalize sexuality. Among other things, the question arose “Is she having an orgasm?”. Along with the things, there was also someone who showed identification, a kind of, with the actress; “What a cringe. Poor thing – but even those memes I don’t want to see, ever,” and “I loved the concept! She looked great, but did too much. Read the room and save that theatrical level for the stage.”
