Hantavirus: positive cases in 6 countries, from the Netherlands to the United States

For the recent outbreak from hantavirus three people have died and there are several infections. Here is a summary of countries that have reported confirmed or probable cases of citizens infected by hantavirus after the epidemic broke out on the cruise ship MV Hondius. Eight cases have been confirmed and two are classified as “probable“, according to the latest data from theWorld Health Organization (WHO).

When

The first British citizen is sick on April 24th and was evacuated three days later from Ascension Island in the Atlantic Ocean to South Africa, where he was admitted to intensive care. The presence of hantavirus in his case it was confirmed on May 2nd.
