Jesse Puljujärvi founded the company – an important reason behind it

Puljujärvi, 28, is involved in the new company Is it time, which was officially launched on Thursday.

The official name of the new company is Is It Time Performance Oy. The company offers online coaching, physical training and personal trainer services.

“As much as I can open up, it’s about what I’ve learned and what mistakes I wouldn’t want other juniors to make when they’re at the best age to develop physically,” Puljujärvi explains the business idea.

“I’m a bit like the face of the company, and Seppo is also involved. We open on Thursday.”

Physiotherapist and physical trainer Seppo Urpilainen is the chairman of the company. Urpilainen has worked closely with Puljujärvi for three years.

Urpilainen, 55, directed the rehabilitation of Puljujärvi when Tornion jägi recovered from a very demanding resurfacing surgery on both hips.

Puljujärvi owns 50 percent of the company and sits on the board.

The name of the company naturally refers to Puljujärvi’s already cult-famous “Is it time?” – to the statement.

Puljujärvi repeated this in Edmonton when he was asked if it was time for him to establish himself at the NHL level. The Finnish striker did not hesitate to answer the question with a question.

Lake Puljujärvi wants to use his own example through the company to help young hockey players avoid the pitfalls he fell into when he was young.

Puljujärvi, who was one of the biggest junior stars of the 2010s, has always been known as a hard trainee. Puljujärvi admits that when he was younger, quantity replaced quality. The idea was just to practice as much as possible, and development will happen.

At a more mature age, Puljujärvi realized with the right guidance how to exercise and how much.

“I’m excited about this project. I hope it turns out to be a good thing, and we can grow it. I hope it will help young players,” Puljujärvi says.

Puljujärvi both hips were fitted with artificial joints in June 2023 in New York.

After the surgery, Puljujärvi could not even walk. At that time, it was even uncertain if he would ever be able to play hockey again.

In the end, a big and demanding operation was luck in an accident in Puljujärvi’s career.

During the heavy and demanding rehabilitation process, Puljujärvi learned to train more optimally. After the surgery, Puljujärvi has been like a new man. Hip pain is a thing of the past.

“The difference is like night and day. Before, I was in pain all the time, and I couldn’t get into the skating position at all. After all, it was a struggle. You knew what you wanted to do in your head, but your legs didn’t follow. My hips had gotten pretty bad,” Puljujärvi remembers.

“The operation gave hope.”

The hip still requires special maintenance exercise so that Puljujärvi stays in the game and training.

“It still requires a lot. I still have my own programs for it, which I do every day, but the pain is gone.”

Lake Puljujärvi is now playing in the third adult World Cup of his career.

For this season, Puljujärvi returned from North America to Europe to play big minutes in a leading role. The frame attacker finished third in the points market in the Swiss main league with 19+33=52.

Puljujärvi, who played in the shirt of Geneve-Servette during the Cannon season, exudes a new kind of self-confidence.

“If you think about what the situation was in the first games in 2017 or in the previous games in 2024, then there is a lot of self-confidence now. It’s a good situation to start playing,” announces Puljujärvi.

Puljujärvi is offered a significant screen in Leijon, because he plays in a three chain and belongs Alexander Barkov lead to the number one power.
