In the footsteps of his father: Prince Harry called for the fight against anti-Semitism

The youngest son of the King of Great Britain, Prince Harry, published an article in New Statement stating the need to combat anti-Semitism. He writes that he is afraid of a split in the kingdom.

“Anti-Semitism in the UK is on the rise and this is a cause for concern. The Jewish community faces deadly violence. Protests against government action are important and legitimate, but it must be clear where the anger is directed,” he says, without mentioning Israel.

“Nothing, be it criticism of the government or the reality of violence and destruction, can justify hostility towards a people or religion. Hatred directed against people simply because of who they are and what they believe is not protest, but prejudice,” the prince writes, also speaking about the inadmissibility of hatred towards Muslims.

Let us note that the day before, King Charles III made a speech from the throne in parliament, in which he presented the government’s program of action for the coming year. In it, the monarch said that the cabinet intends to take action against anti-Semitism and to ensure the safety of communities.

In this context, he stated that a law on combating foreign threats would be adopted, which would facilitate the fight against those who act in the interests of other states and plan sabotage. Earlier, government officials said Iran could be behind the latest attacks on Jews.
