FalComics 2026: 190,000 Attendance in Falconara Marittima

The fifth edition of Falcomics, which took place in Falconara Marittima from 15 to 17 May 2026, recorded, based on initial findings, an overall influx of 190,000 visitors, consolidating its position within the CFC Comics Festival Community circuit. The organizational system, coordinated by LEG Live Emotion Group in synergy with the municipal administration, overcame the logistical limits imposed by the adverse weather conditions of the opening day, distributing its activities across four main stages and more than ten thematic areas. The geographical configuration of the event included hubs dedicated to musical productions and communication within Kennedy Park, exhibition spaces and laboratories in Piazza Garibaldi, as well as sections reserved for the eSport, board games and cinematography sectors in Piazza Mazzini, transforming Falconara Marittima into a real festival city.

In terms of content, the calendar integrated eighty-six events which saw the involvement of ninety-two speakers including designers, essayists, musicians, communication professionals and entertainment performers. Among the international profiles we note the Japanese illustrator Yuji Kaida and the cartoonist Elena Casagrandewhose presence was articulated within a program integrated by twenty-two association acronyms involved in the reproduction of cross-media scenarios and community animation.

Gianluca Del Carlo, Artistic Director of the Festival and CFC Comics Festival Community events, commented: “Five years ago, FalComics was a fragile dream; today it is a wonderful reality built together with thousands of people. The Wonder claim was born from the need to remind us how important it is to continue to wonder, be excited and feel alive in front of shared beauty. These days, Falconara has once again become a big house made of colours, music, smiles and humanity. I want to thank Mayor Stefania Signorini and her entire team for believing in this wonderful madness from day one, together with all the people who made this fifth edition possible. A special thank you to my companions, always exceptional, and to LEG, which for years has been much more than a working group: it is my family. We who create festivals live a bit like the acrobats of the past: we chase lights and emotions, hoping to give people a few moments of authentic happiness. And when, in the eyes of the public, you see that pure amazement again, you understand that all the effort really makes sense. Now I’m going back to my wife and my cats… but a little piece of my heart, as always, will remain in Falconara“.

Deputy Mayor Marco Giacanella dedicates a thought to the necessary thanks: “FalComics is an event that animates the whole city. First of all, I would like to thank the Marche Region, the Ministry of Youth Policies, the many sponsors who believe in this project, appreciate its value and every year there are more and more of them: it is also thanks to them that this event is possible. Allow me then to truly thank all those who contributed to the success of the event: the institutional guests, the police forces, the army, the state police, the Carabinieri, the fire brigade and the financial police. I would also like to applaud the municipal workers, employees and municipal managers for their commitment, with a special thought to the Culture and Tourism Office, the CFC staff and the Local Police for the great work carried out in an event that involves and extends throughout the city. Special thanks also go to the regional and city Civil Protection, to the Yellow Cross and, most of all, to the citizens and all the people who decided to experience this event. I would also like to underline the precious commitment of the cultural and social promotion associations which, with their contribution, help to make FalComics an increasingly participatory and heartfelt event. Finally, special thanks go to the people of Falconara, also for their patience: because when an event involves the whole city, rhythms and habits inevitably change, but this is precisely the most beautiful sign of an event truly experienced by the whole community“.

At the conclusion of FalComics 2026, we express great satisfaction for an edition that confirmed the festival as one of the national reference events for pop culture“, declared Tania Ferri, Elisabetta De Luca and Sandro Giacomelli, founding members of LEG. “The days of 15, 16 and 17 May saw an extraordinary participation of the public, who animated every area of the festival with enthusiasm, curiosity and a spirit of sharing, a great party full of emotions and amazement. Heartfelt thanks go to the Municipality of Falconara Marittima and the Mayor Stefania Signorini for their collaboration and shared vision, as well as to Gianluca Del Carlo and the entire team of CFC Comics Festival Community and LEG Live Emotion Group, a large extended family that makes it possible to create an event that is increasingly recognizable and relevant on the national scene. The theme of this edition, “Wonder”, accompanied and fully represented the spirit of the festival and our work: the rediscovery of wonder as a collective and shared experience“.

In closing, this the reflection of the Mayor Stefania Signorini: “Seeing our city invaded by thousands of fans, families and young people arriving from all over the region – and beyond – is confirmation that this festival is now an inseparable point of reference in the panorama of comics and pop culture. I want to sincerely thank the organizers, the representatives of Leg Tania, Elisabetta and Sandro. A special thank you from the bottom of my heart to the artistic director Gianluca Del Carlo, who managed to give substance to what was a dream of mine. FalComics is not just entertainment, but a formidable engine of social aggregation and tourist and economic promotion for our territory. We have demonstrated, once again, that Falconara knows how to do great things, taking on an increasingly central role at a national and international level. Just think of the presence of leading artists such as Yuji Kaida, the famous illustrator of Godzilla who arrived in Italy for the first time directly from Japan, or Lamberto Bava, Francesco Montanari, Cristina D’Avena and Giorgio Vanni. And then many other designers, illustrators, singers, cosplayers, musicians and all the other protagonists of the world of entertainment and pop culture: really everything and more. FalComics awaits us next year on May 28th, 29th and 30th! We are already working to make the next edition even richer in guests, events and surprises. Falconara is ready to let your imagination fly again towards 2027!“.
