The Pasdaran train civilians to "shoot the invader"

Disassemble, reassemble, load, learn which ammunition to use. And then point, aim and fire, trying not to miss the target which, according to the instructors’ intentions, is an American invader.

The sessions, which began more than two weeks ago, prepare civilians from all walks of life for a resumption of fighting. “The goal is to promote the culture of martyrdom and revenge for the leader’s blood,” says one instructor, referring to the Supreme Leader Ali Khameneikilled in the Israeli-American surprise attacks that started the war on February 28.

Assault rifles and Kalashnikovs to civilians and children

So far, the training is limited to the use of assault rifles, but other weapons will also be introduced in the coming days.
Among those who watch the Pasdaran at work Kalashnikov there are men with little military experience and women in chadors, some with headbands and wristbands bearing the Iranian flag.
But also children and teenagers, eager to be photographed posing while holding rifles.

In Tehran, where government supporters hold rallies with patriotic celebrations almost every evening, preparations for a resumption of the war continued despite the ceasefire.
“God willing, we will be able to use (this training) against enemy aggression if they have bad intentions towards this land,” says Fardin Abbasi, a 40-year-old civil servant, after attending a short session on the use of Kalashnikovs.
Fatemeh Hossein-Kalantar, a 47-year-old housewife in a black chador, says she attended the training out of a desire to avenge Khamenei. “We bring our children and young people with us so that they can attend military training, and every time our leader, dearer than our own lives, gives the order, we will all take to the field,” he tells AFP.
Nearby other stations offered tea, psychological support services and medical assistance, while speeches, songs and commemorations for fallen military commanders were broadcast from loudspeakers.

Women and TV hosts with rifles

Videos circulating online in recent days show rows of women in black chadors assembling and disassembling rifles during similar training sessions.
Iranian state television welcomed the initiative, even inviting a member of the Revolutionary Guards live to teach a TV host how to aim and fire an assault rifle.
In a video that has gone viral, the host fires the weapon inside the television studio.
