“We must kill Ivanka”: an Iraqi terrorist allegedly planned to attack Donald Trump’s daughter

Could an attack on Ivanka Trump have been avoided? According to information from the New York Post published Friday, the daughter of the American president was the target of a planned attack imagined by an Iraqi terrorist arrested and now detained in the United States. He is Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, aged 32.

The US Department of Justice announced the capture of this man on May 15. In a press release, he presents him as a senior terrorist of Iraqi Hezbollah but also close to the Revolutionary Guards, Iran’s ideological army. The Department of Justice mentions planned attacks against Jewish institutions in the United States and Europe. However, no attack against Ivanka Trump or her husband Jared Kushner is mentioned.

According to New York Post sources, plans of the couple’s Florida home were discovered on the man. And he would have sworn to attack the daughter of the American president to take revenge for the death of his mentor, Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, at the head of the Revolutionary Guard Corps. The latter was killed in January 2020 by a strike by the United States, then led by Donald Trump.

“After Qassem’s death, he repeatedly stated: We need to kill Ivanka to burn down Trump’s house like he burned down ours ” Entifadh Qanbar, former deputy military attaché at the Iraqi embassy in Washington, told the New York Post.

Threats on social networks

Very active on social networks, Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi had made several threats against the United States in advance. In December 2021, he published a map (still online) of a location, which turns out to be the area where the Trump-Kushner couple’s home is located in Florida, according to the American media. “Look at this image and know that your palaces and the Secret Service will be of no use to you,” writes Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi just above.

Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi had also made threats against the Jewish population. The Department of Justice recalls that in February 2026, it called on its social networks to “kill all those who support America and Israel. Don’t leave any alive. Civilian and military targets, as well as dissenting voices, kill them everywhere. »

Jared Kushner, of Jewish faith and known for his pro-Israeli positions, is a member of the Peace Council, which must oversee the future of the Gaza Strip. His wife Ivanka Trump converted to Judaism in 2009.

Planning attacks in Europe and the United States

The American Department of Justice recalls in its press release that Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi and other individuals “planned, coordinated and claimed responsibility for at least 18 terrorist attacks in Europe”. He cites, for example, the anti-Semitic attack in London at the end of April, in which two Jewish people were stabbed.

He seemed to travel quite freely in recent years according to his photos, posing in front of a missile as well as the Eiffel Tower.

From April to May 2026, Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi would have “attempted to coordinate and perpetrate terrorist attacks aimed at killing individuals in the United States, in particular by targeting Jewish institutions in New York and elsewhere,” writes the ministry, referring to an agent infiltrated in the police to inform him. A synagogue was reportedly considered a target in New York, as well as two other American Jewish institutions in Los Angeles, California and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Al-Saadi is indicted on various counts by the United States, including several of “conspiracy” with a foreign terrorist organization, but also for “material support for acts of terrorism” and “attempting to destroy property by fire or explosives”.
