Tan A Dai Thanh invested 5,800 billion for Kien Giang cement factory

Tan A Dai Thanh was approved to invest in Ha Tien Kien Giang cement factory according to the green model, with a total capital of 5,800 billion VND, expected to operate from the fourth quarter of 2028.

At the conference “Announcing planning and investment promotion of An Giang province” on May 17, the People’s Committee of An Giang province awarded the decision approving the investment policy adjustment of Ha Tien Kien Giang project to Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ha Tien Kien Giang Cement Joint Stock Company – member of Tan A Dai Thanh.

According to the approval, the factory is located in Kien Luong commune, with a total land area of nearly 70 hectares. Annual capacity is expected to be about 3.3 million tons of clinker (semi-finished products) and 2.9 million tons of cement. The project will integrate an inland waterway port to receive 2,000 DWT ships and a 110 kV transformer station to serve all production activities.

The investment approval also clearly states that the project is planned according to a new generation industrial complex model, integrating production, energy and logistics in the same ecosystem, creating a foundation for a closed production chain, proactively supplying the Mekong Delta – which still depends significantly on clinker sources from other regions.

Regarding development orientation, the project is implementing new technology systems and operational management solutions. The EPC general contractor is Sinoma International Engineering – a prominent unit in the field of engineering and construction of the cement industry.

Representative of Tan A Dai Thanh Group said that the project has the advantage of new investment from the beginning, aiming to integrate the latest series of technologies in the cement industry such as: energy optimization system, residual heat recovery (WHR), and emission control solutions according to green standards. In addition to focusing on production capacity, the project reflects the group’s new industrial development thinking: high technology plays a fundamental role, data-based operations management and environmental responsibility become core standards.

Specifically, the factory operates according to a set of ESG principles, focusing on energy efficiency, emission control, resource management and developing a transparent management system according to international standards.

Representative of Tan A Dai Thanh added that the new production center can optimize logistics costs, reduce pressure on long-distance transportation, improve the capacity to supply construction materials to the Western market, and at the same time promote the development of industry, infrastructure and regional logistics, improving long-term competitiveness.

When put into operation, Tan A Dai Thanh expects the project to contribute to increasing the proactiveness of cement supply for the Southwest region, while creating motivation to develop the construction materials industry chain in a modern and sustainable direction.

Also at the conference on May 17, Director Tran Kien Nghi, representative of the company, received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of An Giang province, recognizing the business’s contribution and commitment to long-term investment in the local economic and social development.
