Ukraine claims it has already identified 500 targets in case of an attack by Belarus

The military authorities of Ukraine declared this Tuesday that they have already identified 500 targets in the event of an attack from Belarus, statements that contrast with those of President Volodymyr Zelensky, who this same day stated that his country has never posed any “threat” to its neighbor.

“The first 500 objectives are already marked. Free and very practical advice: do not look Ukraine in the eyes,” the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Robert Brovdi – popularly called ‘Magyar’ due to his Hungarian origin – directly questioned the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

Brovdy, who leads a battalion in charge of the drone attack, has referred to Lukashenko with the term ‘gauleiter’, with which the Nazis designated regional leaders. “A dog that barks does not bite,” he wrote on social networks, in a message in which he urged the Ukrainian people to remain alert.

The statements come on the same day that Minsk has denounced that “every day” incidents with Ukrainian drones on the border are frequent, which, in some cases, are not mere accidents, but rather deliberate attempts to attack infrastructure, amid an increase in warnings between the parties.

In a meeting this Tuesday with the Belarusian opposition member in exile Svetlana Tijanovskaya, Zelensky assured that Ukraine does not pose a “threat” to Belarus and accused Lukashenko of allowing himself to be dragged into the war by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.

Last week, Belarus and Russia held joint military exercises, in which Moscow provided nuclear munitions. Lukashenko stressed that there is no intention to fight with anyone, except in case the security of the Belarusian state is at risk.
