“Five months ago, I held a meeting with the Minister of Health, who promised to improve health services and launch the project of the General Hospital in Sinj,” Bulj said, adding that instead of concrete solutions, today we have an even worse situation.

He claims that the Ministry did not respond to his official letters and that citizens feel the consequences of the state’s negligence every day. He particularly warned about the chronic lack of pediatricians in Dalmatinska Zagora and the lack of investment in specializations, diagnostics and health infrastructure. “Today there are only a few pediatricians from Knin to Neretva. This is a defeat of health policy. They do not invest in young doctors, do not open specializations and do not create the conditions for health professionals to stay working in smaller communities”, emphasizes Bulj and adds that the consequences of such a policy are felt most by children and their families.

He believes that the Ministry of Health and Split-Dalmatia County, which manages the Health Center, is responsible for such a situation. “The Cetinje region must not be a forgotten part of Croatia. While the majority of hospital capacities are concentrated around Zagreb, the inhabitants of Dalmatinska Zagora are left without basic health services,” notes Bulj and adds that it is not a matter of politics, but of the equality of citizens and the right to health care.

He announced activities and pressure on the competent institutions until the demands for the return of health services and the opening of the Sinj General Hospital are met. ”This is the last warning. We are looking for concrete steps, not new promises. Citizens of the Cetinje Region deserve affordable and high-quality health care. We will not give up on that”, said Bulj.
