Delmastro, the prosecutor’s office asks to acquire the chats with Carroccia

The Rome prosecutor’s office in the investigation which sees the suspect under investigation Mauro Caroccia – accused of money laundering and fraudulent transfer of assets -, asked the council for authorization to proceed from the Chamber to be able to acquire the cat between him and the former undersecretary of Justice, Andrea Delmastro who is not registered in the register of suspects.

Delmastro: “Hasty escape from society immediately after the conviction”

“On February 18th, from open sources, there was the conviction (of Caroccia, ed.), on the 27th I was out of the company: as soon as I heard the news, there was a hasty escape by me and my friends from the company, disinterested in the fact that this led to the loss of the investment”, said Delmastro on Tuesday in a hearing before the Anti-Mafia Commission, answering a question on his participation in the company “Le Cinque Forchette” together with the daughter of the restaurateur Mauro Caroccia, Miriam. “Caroccia? I met him by going to eat in his restaurant, before I didn’t know who he was”, reiterated Delmastro.

Delmastro: “In that place by chance, not recommended”

“No one recommended that place to me. I wanted to go to another, nearby, and I don’t remember if after consulting some app, we stopped there but it was full: it had a nice, fun structure, and a few months later I went there for the first time. Obviously, if I had known, I wouldn’t have gone back as unequivocally demonstrated by my subsequent, hasty escape from society.” The former undersecretary of Justice, Andrea Delmastro, said this to the Anti-Mafia Commission, answering a question about the restaurant in the capital linked to Mauro Caroccia.

Delamastro: “my resignation to safeguard the government”
