On May 27, Rosatom head Alexei Likhachev announced the decision to postpone the return of Russian specialists to the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran.
“Unfortunately, conflicting news is coming from the negotiation sites, and no, no, attacks on Iranian territory are taking place. Therefore, a decision has been made to postpone the return of our comrades to the site for now,” Interfax quotes Likhachev.
The head of Rosatom noted that the situation was reported to the head of state, who confirmed the correctness of the decision.
713 people were removed from the Bushehr nuclear power plant, 20 specialists remain at the station. These are managers who ensure the safety and functionality of the equipment.
