A robot almost killed a worker of a large Croatian bakery: ‘He screamed in pain, they came up with bars!’

– Upon arriving at the place of the report, the police officers confirmed the information in the report, while until their arrival, the 44-year-old employee of the mentioned plant was transported by the employees of the Institute of Emergency Medicine of the Osijek-Baranja County to the Osijek Clinic and Hospital Center. The injured person sustained serious physical injuries during the said incident and was detained for further treatment – they told Dnevnik.hr from the PU of Osjeko-Baranja.

The police conducted an investigation, and the circumstances of the cause of the accident are still under criminal investigation.

According to unofficial information, the accident happened when the worker was cleaning the oven. for baking bread that was turned off. While he was cleaning it, the robot that drives the bread production line allegedly turned on and pinned the worker. “Since he could not free himself and was screaming in pain, the workers came to his aid and blocked the robot with rods so that it would not die,” said the source.

He also adds that they told the circle workers that it was only a matter of days before an accident would occur because they believed that the machine was not fully working.
