Team manager: Valtteri Bottas will not be fired

Finland F1 letters Valtteri Bottas has been the subject of increasing firing rumors since the Canadian competition.

Bottas has started his season weakly and repeatedly lost to his teammate Sergio Perezin underfoot. According to pit rumors, Cadillac is considering a test driver Colton Hertan raising the Finn to the place either for the next season or even in the middle of the current season.

Cadillac’s garage manager by Graeme Lowdon according to the rumors are baseless.

“The rumors are not true. I can say that categorically,” Lowdon told RacingNews365 by.

Lowdon emphasizes that it would not even be possible for Herta to replace Bottas in the next races, as the American driver has not collected enough super license points needed for the F1 series.

“The rumors don’t even care about the rules of the series. Colton doesn’t have enough super license points, so doesn’t that say everything about the credibility of the rumors.”

According to Lowdon, as rookie drivers, Bottas and Perez have to work in more challenging conditions than other drivers.

“We’re building our team while we’re racing. Outsiders don’t know what we’re asking drivers to do. It’s very important to make it clear that the rumors about Valtter are baseless,” says Lowdon.

Bottas the best ranking of the season is 13th in the Chinese competition in March. Perez has reached 15th place at his best, so Cadillac has not collected any World Championship points yet.

Along with Cadillac, only Aston Martin is in the points table with zero after five races.
