15 hours away: El Al is launching a new flight route from Israel

El Al today announced the launch of a new direct route to San Francisco in the USA that will begin operating in about four months. The new route joins the company’s expansion process, during which it announced in recent months 11 new destinations around the world – Asia, South America, and now North America as well, as part of the continued implementation of the company’s growth strategy and deepening its global presence.

The flights to San Francisco will begin on 25.10.2026 and will be operated with a frequency of three weekly flights that will take place on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the company’s advanced Dreamliner aircraft that include three classes of service – tourists, premium and business. The duration of the flight is expected to be about 15 hours.

Ticket sales will open today on the El Al website and through travel agents, and the ticket price will start at $1,199 per person for a round-trip flight in the classic tourist class, including baggage and boarding. In addition, the company’s announcement stated that customers will be able to combine the variety of El Al’s direct destinations with further destinations on the continent as part of the company’s strategic cooperation with the American company Delta, alongside accumulating points and diamonds.
