Prefect of Međimurje Posavec was illegally convicted of bribery

Posavec was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison. He was given a partial suspended sentence, according to which he must serve eight months in prison, while the remaining eleven months will not be served if he does not commit a new criminal offense within five years. Also, property benefit in the amount of 1,327 euros is taken from Posavac, which he is obliged to pay into the state budget within 15 days of the judgment becoming final.

Kobal was sentenced to one year and three months in prison. He was also given a partial suspended sentence, so he must serve seven months in prison, while the remaining eight months are suspended for three years.

Both convicts must pay a lump sum of 1,500 euros each, while the total costs of the procedure amount to an additional 468 euros.

In the second part of the procedure, Matija Posavec and Miljenko Novković They were acquitted of the accusation that Posavac was accused of asking the prosecutor to hire the niece of his acquaintance.
