Slovenia refused to accept the Israair plane in violation of the agreement with the European Union

The airline said the boarding denial was due to protest against the actions of the Israeli government.

This step is a gross violation of the air services agreement between Israel and the European Union. The Israeli Foreign Ministry and the Civil Aviation Authority are working to resolve the issue.

Let us recall that the outgoing Slovenian government was one of the sharpest critics of Israel and the initiator of promoting the anti-Israeli boycott. However, following the results of the elections held in May, a new coalition led by a prime minister considered an ally of Israel should come to power in the coming days.
