Masan launches the Omachi Tam Hoa hotpot line with crayfish

Omachi Tam Hoa Hot Pot has fibers made from konjac tubers combined with extracts of three types of flowers (red artichoke, rose flower, butterfly bean), and inside there are real crayfish.

The product is described by the company as having many innovations and being the most advanced in Omachi’s Foods line. The starch served in this new dish is large flat Tam Hoa fibers, not instant noodles like before. The yarn uses konjac tubers combined with extracts from natural flowers to create color, without adding synthetic colors or preservatives.

In each hot pot box there are two large crayfish. At the 2026 General Meeting of Shareholders taking place in April, the product was first introduced, with a witty description from Masan Consumer’s leader: “The packaging image is not just for illustration, shrimp hot pot contains real shrimp.”

The manufacturer applies sublimation drying technology, ensuring toppings such as shrimp and vegetables in a water-free environment, inhibiting the growth of bacteria and preserving the product longer even without using preservatives. The company announces a shelf life of up to 6 months at room temperature. With this approach, Masan Consumer not only innovates at the conceptual level, but also invests in technology to realize product positioning.

Masan said that Omachi Tam Hoa Hot Pot was developed, focusing on combining natural ingredients with modern processing technology, within the 2026 orientation of focusing on healthy and natural consumption trends.

Ms. Nguyen Truong Kim Phuong, Deputy General Director of Masan Consumer, said innovation is a characteristic of the business. If in 2025, Masan Consumer made a mark with the Omachi Quan Xa Asia collection, then in 2026, the innovation story revolves around the theme of learning from nature. “Choosing Omachi is choosing innovation – every year there is a journey of innovation,” said Ms. Phuong.

Recently, on May 22, Omachi Lau Tam Hoa launched to consumers in the Omachi Debut event with the theme “Lost in the land of Tam Hoa” taking place at Nguyen Hue walking street, Ho Chi Minh City. The event brings tens of thousands of spectators a 250-meter-long parade, gathering 350 dancers and 3 10-meter-high chariots. Along with that, there are many elaborately choreographed art performances, resonant lighting effects combined with multi-layered performances. The highlight of the event is the launch of the product Omachi Tam Hoa Hot Pot appearing from a height of 15m with Tam Hoa messenger – rapper Hieu Monday.
