Bankruptcy of a well-known gas station operator worth millions

Restructuring proceedings with self-administration were opened at the Krems Regional Court over the assets of WVRAST Catering Business GmbH from Bärnkopf. The company filed for bankruptcy itself. According to Creditreform, the company operates three gas stations in Amstetten, Behamberg and Dietach.

The insolvency affects 35 employees and around 45 creditors. The liabilities amount to around one million euros. According to the insolvency administrator, the company will be continued. Creditors are offered a restructuring rate of 40 percent, payable within two years.

Attorney Christian Lind was appointed as insolvency administrator. Creditors can register their claims until July 15, 2026. The first creditors’ meeting will take place on June 17, 2026, and the restructuring plan will be voted on on August 12, 2026.

Initially, no information was given about the causes of the bankruptcy. The restructuring process with self-administration enables the management to continue to run the company under the supervision of the insolvency administrator.
