Idris Elba doesn’t think everyone would accept a black James Bond

“I never considered it a realistic idea,” says Elba GQ magazine in the interview.

He says that James Bond movies are hugely popular all over the world, but there are places where the idea of ​​a black James Bond would not be accepted.

“It’s not something they like in their culture,” says Elba.

In his opinion, James Bond should not be changed very much by Ian Fleming from the original character according to the books.

“A hint of realism may be in order, but let’s not make Bond a woke. You have to be true to the fact that they are pure escapism,” says Elba.

Next James Bond has been speculated in the public, among other things Callus Turner, Theo Jamesia and Aaron Taylor-Johnsonia. Amazon MGM, which will produce the next Bond film, is expected to announce the choice in the second half of this year.
