‘The people of Ultimo’: the book on Niccolò Moriconi, voice of a generation

Ultimo has tens of millions of views on YouTube, on Spotify he is regularly followed by over 2 million listeners, his social networks gather over 5 million followers and his concerts welcome hundreds of thousands of fans who sing the songs by heart amid emotions and tears.

In just a few years, Niccolò Moriconi, aka Ultimo, at just thirty years old, has conquered a real “people” who recognize themselves in his stories. The book explores how the “Ultimo Generation” found in the singer-songwriter a voice for their inner world, capable of revealing fears and welcoming fragility. Not just love songs, but a precise and transparent musical code, the sign of belonging because ‘We are Last’.

The author, the music journalist Mattia Marzi, reconstructs a unique career stage by stage and song by song, from the beginning to the impressively successful tours, also collecting direct testimonies from fans to convey the intensity of the bond between a people and their singer.
