Axios: US-Iran agreement reached in principle, but not yet approved by Khamenei

Axios journalist Barak Ravid wrote in his X-blog, citing his sources, that on Thursday, June 11, Iranian officials notified a number of countries that an agreement in principle had been reached at negotiations in Tehran, but Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had not yet approved it.

Ravid recalls that Trump has repeatedly stated that a deal is close, while Iran has not confirmed these statements. And this time Tehran is silent.

According to the journalist’s sources, differences remain between the parties on three key issues: the mechanism for unlocking frozen Iranian assets, the procedure for opening the Strait of Hormuz during the 60-day ceasefire and the terms of negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program during the same period.
