Charles III will be the first British king in history to report his income

King Charles III will become the first monarch in British history to publish his financial accounts, including income and tax details. The data will be published on Thursday, June 25.

The BBC quoted Buckingham Palace sources as saying the decision was taken by the king personally as part of a program to modernize the monarchy, which included greater transparency to create a more accurate picture of the palace’s accountability.

Many Britons have been demanding the provision of data on royal finances for several decades. These calls have been significantly intensified by the case of the former Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his titles due to his links to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein but continues to receive royal funds.
