Eveliina Salonen won the European Open – completing an exceptional streak

Finnish Star Eveliina Salonen won the frisbee golf European Open in Tallinn on Sunday.

Salonen won the women’s competition with a score of 21 under par. Swedish 14 year old Julia Fors was the second one four throws away and the Czech Republic Kristyna Jurčíková the third.

The victory was the Fifth major title of the 26-year-old Salonen’s career. She has now won every current women’s major: the World Cup, the Champions Cup, the US Women’s Championship and the European Open.

The European Open was played on Tallinn’s singing stage. The competition is a Professional Major level tournament and part of the European Disc Golf Festival.

Salonen led the race already after the opening round.

Iida Lehtomäki was ninth. Also Henna Blomroos, Silva Saarinen, Heidi Laine and Olivia Kindstedt ranked in the top 15.

Men’s the competition is over. Teemu Lambainen was the best Finn in fourth place before the final round.
