Exuberant celebration: South Africa shocked the South Koreans

Because South Africa is surprisingly in the round of 16 after a 1-0 win against South Korea – the South Africans are in the knockout phase for the first time in history.

Maseko scored the decisive goal in the 63rd minute. The South Koreans remained well below their potential for long stretches and were disappointing.

With three points and a goal difference of -1, South Korea still has a chance of reaching the round of 16 via the back door.
