FPT said it will promote the deployment of Microsoft’s AI agent and jointly develop strategic partnerships in the Asian market.
On June 25, the two sides said they would expand strategic cooperation in Asia, focusing on ASEAN, Japan and Korea. “By combining Microsoft’s AI platforms with FPT’s large-scale deployment capacity, the two sides will support businesses to accelerate AI applications and improve business efficiency,” the announcement reads.
FPT and Microsoft established a cooperative relationship in 1996, and have jointly implemented many large-scale technology initiatives. The Vietnamese technology corporation said it has built professional capacity on the Microsoft ecosystem to deploy large-scale AI transformation projects for global businesses.

In the new cooperation, FPT will play the role of a pioneering AI enterprise (AI Frontier Company), collaborating with American technology firms to incorporate Agentic AI into the core work process. They also have priority access to Microsoft’s next generation AI technologies to help promote innovation based on generative AI and AI agents.
The two sides plan to design a roadmap, test emerging AI capabilities, develop reference architectures and typical AI models that can be deployed on an enterprise-wide scale, thereby shortening the time from testing to practical AI applications. They also established the Pathfinder collaboration model to develop strategic partnerships in the Asian market.
According to Mr. Mayank Wadhwa, President of Microsoft ASEAN, Vietnam is entering a key stage in AI application, when organizations are ready to expand their scale, go beyond pilot projects and re-engineer the way they work. “AI pioneering organizations, led by humans and powered by AI agents, will shape this next chapter,” Mr. Wadhwa said.
According to FPT General Director Nguyen Van Khoa, when moving from testing to deploying AI on an enterprise-wide scale, the challenge is not technology but the ability to create practical business value.
With this cooperation, the Vietnamese technology corporation said it can accompany businesses at all levels of “AI maturity”, from exploring and improving the productivity and capacity of the workforce, to integrating AI into core processes, and building business models based on AI.
