Lukashenko admitted that Russia wants to drag him into the war, and spoke about negotiations with Ukraine

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting with the Russian Ambassador in Minsk Boris Gryzlov and Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov, spoke about negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation.

“Zelensky’s representatives were recently at this place. I told them directly: “Guys, tell your president: if he thinks that he can talk to us like this and drag us into a war, then he must understand that the quality of the war will instantly change. This war will be completely different,” he said.

According to the politician, the Ukrainian side said that the president understands this. “So let’s come to an agreement, guys. We need to agree substantially. There’s no need to create dust, there’s no need to shout, there’s no need to try to punch you in the face in Russian, and so on. Let’s do it humanly. Understanding what Russia is and what we are. There is also an understanding,” Belarus Today quotes him.

“And there is no need to push us to the fact that Boris Vyacheslavovich (Gryzlov) is organizing a process to drag us into a war. The President of Russia and I have discussed this topic a thousand times. Well, how can we fight against the Ukrainians here if the territorial troops are mostly on the other side? Are we going to shoot these machine operators, milkmaids and working guys who don’t want to fight with the Belarusians? We also don’t want to fight with the Ukrainians,” – Lukashenko said.

“We understand what could happen if the West gets in here again and wins. I’m not talking about Ukraine. Well, what kind of Ukraine? It’s not about Ukraine! We understand who we are fighting with today. If they want peace, let’s agree on the substance. We don’t need a war. We have enough land, we have enough economy, and we have enough problems. Therefore, there is no confrontation. There is no need to gather dust here,” he added.

Let us recall: on June 19, Zelensky presented an ultimatum to the President of Belarus, demanding within a week to remove the repeaters that allow Russia to direct drones to targets in Ukraine, promising that otherwise the Ukrainians will eliminate the threat on their own. On June 24, the President of Ukraine said that the repeaters were turned off.
