CARNET: Criminal report due to unauthorized publication of data, online registrations are not at risk

– Immediately after learning about the publication of the database, CARNET activated security incident management procedures and initiated a detailed technical and forensic analysis. External independent experts were also engaged for forensic data analysis in order to determine as soon as possible the manner in which the data reached the public and from which source it originated – they pointed out in a short announcement.

When asked if online enrollments in high schools and colleges were compromised, as well as the e-Matica through which all data on grades at the end of the school year is entered, CARNET replied that there is no fear of that.
