As we mentioned, one of the aspects that draws the most attention is its suction power of 25,000 Pa. Beyond the figure, the important thing is how it translates into day-to-day life. During our tests it has shown a large capacity to collect fine dust, dirt and hair on both hard floors and carpets, offering very consistent cleaning even in frequently crossed areas. Precisely the hair is one of the points where this model especially stands out, thanks to its Dual Anti-Tangle system.

Another section that we really liked is the scrubbing. The robot does not limit itself to passing a wet mop, but is designed for tackle more stubborn dirt and dried stains. And this is combined with a base that presents important improvements: automatic cleaning of the mops at 80 degrees, hot air drying at 55 degrees and up to two months of self-emptying of dust in constant use (which can be many more for those who only use the robot one or two days a week). You literally forget about the maintenance of this robot.

NO CORNER RESISTS

FlexiArm technology is another of those details that make a difference. Thanks to it, the robot can get closer to edges, corners and areas attached to furniture, places where many robots tend to leave small accumulations of dust. It is a detail that may go unnoticed in the technical sheet, but is clearly seen when we observe the final result of the cleaning.

It has also convinced us a lot Its ultra-flat design is just 7.98 centimeters high. Thanks to the RetractSense system, the upper sensor can be retracted when necessary to allow the robot to pass under beds, sofas and low furniture. In a normal home this means accessing corners that are often out of reach of other more voluminous models.

Navigation is another of the strong points of the Qrevo Edge 2. During our tests it moved with ease through complex spaces, avoiding obstacles and adapting to different rooms quite intelligently. The Reactive AI system helps identify objects and avoid many of the common problems that can arise in homes where something is always out of place.

A BALANCED PRODUCT

What we liked the most, however, is the general balance of the whole. It is common to find robots that shine in a specific section, but that reveal certain shortcomings in others. Just the opposite happens here: suction power, scrubbing capacity, navigation, corner cleaning, hair management and a compact design work in harmony to offer an especially complete experience. That feeling of a round and well-resolved product is probably its greatest virtue.

The same goes for design. It is about a sober and balanced proposal that does not seek to attract attention nor take aesthetic risks (something common in much of Roborock’s mid-range), but it doesn’t look out of place either. Its appearance fits naturally into most homes, integrating discreetly and elegantly into any space.

Ultimately, the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 offers much more than its price might lead you to think. Its great success lies in having found a difficult balance to achieve between performance, technology and cost, without sacrificing important aspects of the user experience. For all these reasons, it is not only an excellent option within its segment, but also one of the robot vacuum cleaners with the best quality-price ratio that can currently be found on the market.
