The star’s private chef sues: “I had a miscarriage following arduous work”

What will be Overseas, it is being reported tonight (between Thursday and Friday) that after the housekeepers, Kylie Jenner is now facing another lawsuit from a former employee, the third in less than two months, this time being her private chef. According to her, she had an abortion following arduous labor, as alleged in the lawsuit filed this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court, which does not spare details.

The chef, who worked five days a week, in shifts of 11-12 hours regularly, claims that she was prevented from reasonable constraints after she informed her superiors in December 2024, shortly after she was hired, that she was in the third month of a high-risk pregnancy. But then she was repeatedly assigned to difficult physical tasks; On New Year’s Eve, she was instructed to “lift and carry heavy food items across the road and uphill, without any assistance.” A job that left her dizzy and gasping, as described, until security personnel had to enter the picture, one of whom handed her a glass of water.

Last February, when she was five months along, the chef was assigned to work at the birthday party of “one of Jenner’s children” in Palm Springs (both, Stormi and Air, were born in early February). However, according to her, she did not receive any assistance in the event, which made high demands – when she expressed concern about the overload and asked for help, she received a cold shoulder from her superiors, who ignored her.

“Due to exhaustion and extreme physical exertion, she had an emotional breakdown in the bathroom during the incident,” the lawsuit states. “That evening, as a result of the prolonged and intense workload, she experienced severe physical exhaustion and a feeling of heaviness throughout her body.” The next morning the chef woke up in Palm Springs suffering from severe bleeding, drove herself to the emergency room and received the hard news: doctors told her that it was not possible to detect a heartbeat for the fetus.

It was further alleged that she informed her superiors about her sensitive medical condition, but was later accused of leaving the kitchen and refrigerator in a chaotic state after the incident in Palm Springs. On February 8, about a week after the abortion, as noted, she suffered another severe hemorrhage, collapsed in the bathroom of her home, and subsequently developed depression and mental distress. According to her, one of the managers even shamelessly told her “stop, just stop. You’re making Kylie sad. You’re making her depressed.”

The chef is now demanding compensation, it is not yet known exactly how much, claiming, among other things, discrimination and harassment on the grounds of pregnancy, failure to provide reasonable accommodations and unlawful dismissal. In addition, it was also claimed that she did not receive her salary on time and was not paid the full value for her hours.

This is the place to point out that Jenner is not necessarily the direct employer of the complainants, but a company Tri Starwhich manages the factors that managed their employment. To the chef, the company offered a compromise before taking legal action, which did not help much. However, the star, not all of her employees develop bitterness towards her, does appear as a defendant, among other things, because she allegedly did not properly address the complaints and concerns of the workers in her house. “Celebrity status does not exempt anyone from California’s labor laws. We look forward to presenting the evidence in court and allowing the facts to speak for themselves,” the private chef’s lawyer told the Los Angeles Times. successfully.
