“I’ve lived a big life, so I need a big budget,” explains Madonna about the failure of the biopic

Scheduled Madonna-a biographical film will not be realized. The singer told about it Interviewin an extensive interview he gave to the magazine.

The film was made for two years with the Universal studio, but Madonna and the publisher could not agree on the budget.

“I’ve lived a big life, so I need a big budget,” Madonna said. He didn’t want to settle for the typical amount for an indie film.

Vocalist offered to shoot the movie in Serbia to save money, but according to him, the studio didn’t think Madonna could live in Serbia for more than four days.

“‘Did you read the script?’, I said. My whole life has been a struggle,” commented the singer.

The filming of a big-budget film about oneself, even more so in Serbia of all places in the world, would be a natural continuation of homelessness in Manhattan in the early 1980s and other violent phases that the film would have dealt with.

According to Variety magazine the film’s story was supposed to start from Madonna’s birthplace in Michigan and follow the singer to New York during her breakthrough in the 1980s. At the end, 1998 would have been enjoyed Ray of Light – for the great artistic and commercial success of the album.

A film project after the shelving, Madonna was approached by Netflix to produce a biopic. This project is coming to fruition, but the singer regretted in the interview that he couldn’t use the script he wrote for Universal for a couple of years for the new project.

He should have bought his own script from the studio at a “bargain price”.

Because the film project was abandoned and the Netflix project was stalled, Madonna set about making a sequel Confessions on a Dance Floor – for his hit album from 2005. Confessions II will be released on July 3rd by Warner Records.

“It’s good that I had another job waiting because I always have to create. I was put on earth to create things,” said Madonna in an interview.

Madonna said the world is in a dark place right now and people should dance more.

This task will be carried out by the upcoming album, which, according to preliminary information, is returning to Madonna’s disco and club roots. Sometimes the songs praise the saving power of club culture.

Although the music is uplifting, the themes are also dark. On the album, Madonna deals with, among other things, her stepmother’s death, her brother’s illness and other family traumas.
