Anthropic extends free access to Claude Fable 5 in its paid plans until July 12

Anthropic has extended free access to Claude Fable 5 on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise payment plans (seat-based) until July 12, when it will move to a credit-as-you-go payment model.

The AI ​​laboratory announced last week that on July 8, Claude Fable 5 would no longer be available through payment plans and this model could only be accessed from that date with payment by credits.

However, in an update made this Tuesday on its support page, Anthropic has extended the limited period of use of Claude Fable 5, its Mythos class model, at no extra cost as part of the subscription plan until July 12 (July 13 at 8:59:59 Spanish peninsular time).

There are also no changes in the promotion period, since the technological limited its usage to 50 percent of weekly subscription limits at no extra cost, which forces the user to use credits to continue using Fable 5 or move to another model such as Opus 4.8.

Users who pay for Claude’s monthly subscription can access Fable 5 on both the web, mobile and desktop applicationsas in Cowork, Code, Design, Claude for Microsoft 365, Teams, and Claude Tag.

Regarding the possibility of Fable 5 returning to subscriptions, Anthropic previously said that at some point you will restore your Mythos class model once his capacity allows it, although he has not shared a specific date.

This extension of the free use period of Fable 5 for Claude subscribers comes just one day before the announcement made by OpenAI in which it has indicated that it will deploy GPT-5.6 Sol, along with Terra and Luna, this Thursday.
