McGregor makes unusual request after injury on return to UFC

After not even getting to fight with Max Holloway no UFC 329 for injuring his knee in his first movement, Conor McGregor he used social media to defend that the result of the fight be changed, in addition to asking for the refund of all bets made on the fight.

Through Instagram Stories, the Irishman, who will even need to undergo surgery, also announced that he will soon release the results of the tests carried out on his injured leg.

“A few observations: I will have the results of the tests on my leg. The fight must be declared ‘no result’, and all bets returned”he wrote.

McGregor, who beat Max Holloway in 2013, hopes the defeat on his return after a five-year break will be removed from his professional record. He also stated that, when he recovers, he intends to hold the duel, which is in his contract with the UFC.

Frustrating return

After guaranteeing the UFC the biggest box office in history, all expectations of Conor McGregor’s return were dashed in just a few seconds. The Irishman tried to start the fight with a jump for a high kick, but slipped and injured his knee, leaving him unable to face Holloway.

As he had already made a mistake before entering the octagon, doubts were raised about the injury having occurred before the event. Both he and Dana White, however, denied that McGregor was injured before the clash. Conor still has no plans to make a new comeback.
