Silva Saarinen won the giant race – this is how much he earned

Finland frisbee golf stars Silva Saarinen won the US Championship held in Salt Lake City on Sunday and took the third major victory of his career.

Saarinen’s final result was -33. He beat the runner-up Ohn Scogginsin with three throws. Scoggins is the reigning world champion of the sport.

Before the last lap, Saarinen was five throws behind Scoggins, who was leading the race. He passed the American on the 16th fairway and finished his amazing round with a score of -10.

There were also Finns in the race Eveliina Salonen (11.), Heidi Laine (12.) and Henna Blomroos (28.).

Saarinen accepted his winnings for 9,000 dollars, i.e. a little less than 7,900 euros.

The US Championship is one of the most prestigious competitions in frisbee golf. The race was the third major tournament of the year. Saarinen won the PDGA Champions Cup held in April, and Salonen won the European Open tournament.

In frisbee golf, there are four major tournaments a year.

Finnish women have dominated this year’s frisbee golf championships. In addition to the Major victories, Saarinen has won three Pro Tour competitions. Salos has two Pro Tour wins this year and Blomroos has one.
