World Cup: impressive images of crazy crowds across Spain after the coronation of La Roja

Emotions that only football brings. Spain logically won its second world champion title on Sunday evening, after the first in 2010, following its 1-0 victory against Argentina. After this new coronation of “Roja”, the Spaniards took to the streets to celebrate this new title, notably in Madrid, towards the Plaza de Colon, while temperatures were still around 32°C at 9 p.m.

Tears, hugs, smoke bombs, horns, screams of joy… all the elements of a perfect evening of football were gathered in the Spanish capital.

The scenes were just as impressive on the Zaragoza side, on the iconic Plaza del Pilar, where several tens of thousands of supporters were also gathered to watch the match, before celebrating the victory until the end of the night.

Far from the unfortunately frequent scenes of festivities which degenerate after a football match, La Roja supporters based in Granada, in the south of the country, also exploded with joy as soon as the final whistle blew.

In Valencia, a magnificent fireworks display was launched from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where a huge fan zone had been set up for the occasion, and thus lit up the city’s sky. Several thousand supporters took to the streets to celebrate the victory during a night marked by flags, songs, shouts, tears, horns and this impressive pyrotechnic spectacle.

Also in Catalonia, in Barcelona, ​​where the Spanish selection is sometimes contested by the separatists, La Roja fans were indeed present to celebrate this second world title.

From Madrid to Barcelona, ​​via Granada and Valencia, the whole of Spain vibrated in unison in a country that is sometimes said to be divided by regional divisions, transforming its cities in the country into scenes of popular jubilation for this second world coronation.
