A brutal revelation about Sebastien Ogier’s moments of terror: “His eyes didn’t move”

The nine-time world champion derailed on Saturday at the rally’s 17th special stage in Västilä. The speed in the situation was about 140 kilometers per hour.

The situation was serious, although Ogier and Ingrassia survived the situation without serious injuries. According to Ingrassia, everything seemed fine at first.

“I saw Sebi get out of the car. I noticed that I wasn’t injured myself, so I followed the instructions and pressed the OK button on the car.”

According to Ingrassia, Ogier regained consciousness after a few seconds. He was transported by helicopter to the hospital for further examination. Ingrassia says she quickly called Ogier’s mother to assure her that Ogier was fine.

On Sunday, Ogier was said to have been discharged from the hospital.

Ingrassia served as Ogier’s map reader from 2006 to 2021, but ended his career five years ago. He returned to Jyväskylä as a one-time co-driver because Ogier’s regular map reader Vincent Landais dropped out due to personal reasons.
