EU countries have decided to expand the sanctions list against Russia in response to Russian airstrikes on Ukraine. This was announced by the head of European diplomacy Kaya Kallas.
According to her, five individuals associated with the Russian military-industrial complex were subject to restrictions. Callas did not name the names of those included in the new list. She stated that the EU intends to continue pressure on Russia until the hostilities cease.
Kallas accused Russian forces of targeting Ukrainian civilians and infrastructure. Moscow says the Russian army is striking military targets and facilities associated with the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
On the eve of sanctions against Russia, Great Britain expanded. The British list included 12 companies, one person and six ships. In particular, Ozon Bank, Center-Invest Bank, Realist Bank, Stavr Bank and TelePort Bank were subject to restrictions.
