Zelensky reports Ukrainian attacks on “the last great bastion of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea”

The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported this Wednesday of attacks by his country’s forces on “the last great bastion of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea”, located at the Novorosisk naval base, in the province of Krasnodar, which according to Moscow have caused two deaths.

Zelensky has highlighted the success of the attacks on these facilities located more than 300 kilometers from the front line and for which Palianitsia drones and Neptune missiles were used. “Impacts have been confirmed on air defense positions, docks and seaport infrastructure,” he wrote online.

“The occupation fleet and all the infrastructure that supports it will not be safe as long as Russian aggression continues,” warned Zelensky, who has once again stressed that “all reasonable diplomatic proposals are on the table” to negotiate an end to the war as soon as possible.

For their part, local Russian authorities have reported that this new attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has left several injured and at least two dead, one of them an eight-year-old child in the aforementioned city of Novorosisk.

The governor of Krasnodar, Veniamin Kondratiev, detailed that last night Russian air defenses repelled “a massive attack by several hundred drones” that “unfortunately (…) caused deaths and injuries,” as he wrote on social networks.

“The kyiv regime again attacked homes and civilian buildings in Novorosisk, Anapa, Gelendzhik and in the Temryuk district,” where another person died after a drone hit the yard of his home, he confirmed.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this Wednesday that 502 combat drones were intercepted last night, a fairly high number compared to recent balances.
