On Friday, Israel experienced a major outage of parking and public transport payment apps, including Cello, Pango and Rav-Kav Online. Some users cannot log into applications or make payments.
According to ICE, when logging into Cello, an error message appeared when authorizing and connecting to the service, the Pango application reported a temporary glitch that was being worked on.
Pango said the temporary outage was due to a systems update carried out last night. Cello said that in recent hours, tens of thousands of new users have joined the app in a very short period of time. A sharp and unusual increase in load led to local outages for some customers, but the problems were quickly resolved.
