Lokomotiva brought reinforcements in defense: Karačić on loan from Hajduk, there is also a former Dynamo player

For Karačića, this is a return to a well-known environment. He first arrived at Lokomotiv in 2012 from Kustoshija as a cadet, and made his debut for the first team in 2015. During the next five years at Kajzerica, he developed into one of the most important players of the lokos. In that first period, he had 140 appearances in the HNL and the Cup, along with three more appearances in the qualifiers for Uefa competitions, and scored a total of nine goals.

– I am satisfied, we managed to arrange my return to Lokomotiva. I’m glad and did my best to help the team as much as possible. I remember everything from that long period when I was here, maybe I remember the Cup final when we were second best. Lokomotiv achieves good results every season, but always strive for better. The club is always somewhere around the fifth place and upwards, if we could manage to enter the fight for Europe, that would be great. I hope that ć and I, like other teammates who are so-called senators, help young players to develop and make a step forward in their career – said Karačić after signing the contract.

Gurlica was born in 2004, and he grew up playing football at the Dinamo school. In his senior career, he played for Dinamo, Slovenian Bravo, Gorica and Vukovar in 1991, for which he played in the HNL last season. In total, he played 35 games in the HNL, while he played 4 games in the Croatian Cup. He was a member of the Dinamo team in the 2022/23 season. with which he won the championship.

– It is a great pleasure to be a part of Lokomotiva. I think that the club is very good for the development of young players, I think that I can achieve a lot myself, but also the whole team. & Zcaron; I’m going from game to game to keep getting better and achieve the best possible result at the end of the season. I know a lot of players from before because I played with them, I played against most of them when I was in opposing teams. Coach Jelavić he gives confidence to young players who deserve it, and I think that’s the fairest thing. If someone works and advocates, his effort will pay off and he will get the necessary minutes. That is the most important thing. I am looking forward to the games ahead – said Gurlica after the extended first training session with the team.
