Serbian influencer from Beča Marko Miladinović he ended up in prison in Bilice after he publicly displayed the tattoos of Draza Mihailovi and Momil Dstrokujji, ethnic leaders from the Second World War, in Split. Miladinović has been in Split for the last few days, and he showed his tattoos in a cafe on Zcaronjan and published them on social networks, the Dalmatian portal reports.
He was arrested and brought to the Municipal Misdemeanor Court in Split. The police are charging him with disturbing public order and peace and violating the Law on Suppression of Discrimination. 30 days in prison was requested for the first offense, while a fine of 2000 euros was proposed for the second.
The court ordered him to be detained in Bilice for 15 days, and the decision on the punishment will be made later, within the legal deadline.
The police requested detention due to the danger of repeating the offense. In the indictment, they state that Miladino’s a public figure with a large number of followers and that his posts are available to the general public.
– This is why it is necessary to punish him most severely and send a clear message that Croatia is a tourist-friendly and friendly country where foreign guests are always welcome, but only on the condition that they respect the legal order, the laws and the Croatian people, and especially the highest values protected by international law, which was completely absent from the defendant – it is stated in the indictment of the Split police.
The influencer immediately admitted the violations. He said in court that he lives in Austria and occasionally goes to Serbia, and that he tattooed Draza Mihailovi and Momil Dstrokujija five or six years ago.
‘I fell into bad company and wanted to fit in…’
He explained that then he fell into bad company and wanted to fit in.
– Now I am aware that I shouldn’t have done that because I can hurt other nations with them. I don’t hate the Croatian people, I play for the Croatian club in Beč – said Miladinović.
He also admitted that he published photos of Zcaronjan on social networks, but claims that he did not want to offend anyone.
– I had a great time in Split, I didn’t think about what those tattoos could cause in the public – he said in court.
The judge also asked him if he had thought about removing the tattoos. Miladinović first said that it was expensive, but then he promised to remove them as soon as possible.
– This is a sin from the past and has nothing to do with the present – he concluded.
