Sponsor up to three billion VND for businesses to innovate technology with AI

The National Technology Innovation Fund (NATIF) announced the receipt of funding applications according to the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Application Technology Innovation Task Funding Plan. The Fund plans to select 15 tasks, each task will be partly co-funded by the State, and the rest will be matched by businesses and organizations.

Communicate with VnExpressa representative of NATIF said that the program aims to encourage Vietnamese businesses and organizations to deploy AI problems derived from practical needs, thereby accelerating the application of artificial intelligence in production, business and life. The co-financing mechanism is designed in the direction that the State shares initial investment risks, while businesses proactively identify problems, arrange counterpart resources and are responsible for implementation effectiveness.

Funds are used to hire AI experts, technology services, test, evaluate solutions, transfer and perfect AI technology for practical application. Implementation time should not exceed 12 months.

Registered participants are businesses and organizations with legal status, wishing to apply AI to create new products, services, processes, business models or significantly improve existing products, services, processes and models.

The proposal must clearly state the objectives, content, implementation plan, outputs and financial plan, and demonstrate applicability and economic or social efficiency. NATIF prioritizes tasks in the field of processing and manufacturing industries; agriculture and agricultural product processing; medical and pharmaceutical; logistics and supply chain; trade, services and corporate governance; activities of state administrative agencies.

Proposals with cooperation agreements with research institutes, universities or small and medium-sized enterprises providing AI solutions are also given priority for consideration.

Businesses and organizations wishing to submit online applications through the Fund’s management system at oms.natif.vn (digital signature required), or send a hard copy to NATIF headquarters on the 5th floor, Department of Innovation Building, 113 Tran Duy Hung, Hanoi.

Deadline for receiving applications is 5:00 p.m. October 10, 2026. After receiving, the Fund will organize appraisal, select tasks before signing contracts and disbursement according to schedule.

NATIF Fund is a state financial institution under the Ministry of Science and Technology, sponsoring and ordering science, technology and innovation tasks; loan interest rate support; issue financial support vouchers (vouchers); and support the development of a creative startup ecosystem. This is one of the Fund’s first activities since Decree 77/2026 of the Government on the organization and operation of NATIF took effect.
