New job for the ex-national coach?: Julian Nagelsmann under discussion at Manchester United

After the 1:4 defeat in the Champions League at Como in 1907, former United player Carrick came under increasing criticism. In Europe, Manchester only recorded one win from three games. The club is in 13th place in the Premier League after just one win from seven games. The next game against the AFC Bournemouth team coached by Marco Rose could be crucial for Carrick.

Nagelsmann had already been traded to Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League in the past. One advantage could be that Christopher Vivell is employed as technical director at United. Nagelsmann, whose stint as national coach ended after the disappointing World Cup in the summer, had already worked with him at RB Leipzig. But Vivell is not the decisive man in the search for a coach.

The Italians Antonio Conte and Eddie Howe are also considered possible immediate solutions at United. The name Fabian Hürzeler is also being discussed at Old Trafford, but more as a future variant. The former St. Pauli coach is currently at Brighton & Hove Albion and is in third place with the club.
