Claus Elming is in great sorrow.
Because the former ‘Vild med dans’ host has lost his mother, Inge-Lise Elming. He writes that on Instagram.
‘Goodbye Mrs Elming’. A little sadness on the gloss picture app. On Friday I was supposed to have flown with my mother to the USA, but the last journey was a little longer than expected’.
‘She slept in at the Kingdom on Thursday night. Thanks for all the memories and travels’, writes Claus Elming on Instagram.
He shared the post on Saturday morning, and since then condolences have poured in.
‘Condolences my friend. Your sweet and lovable mother was a fantastic person, the best thoughts to you and the family’, writes dancer Michael Olesen.
‘Condolences. Loving thoughts to you all’, read the words from TV host Lene Beier.
‘Condolences sweet Claus’, writes the former swimmer Jeanette Ottesen.
Claus Elming has shared a post on Instagram with ten pictures of Inge-Lise Elming, and in some of the pictures he is seen together with his mother.
At the time of writing, the post has almost 1,500 comments, where warm thoughts are sent to the former ‘Wild with dance’ host.
It is not clear from the notice what the cause of death is. Ekstra Bladet is trying to get a comment from Claus Elming.
Sending words of praise
It was back in 2018 that Claus Elming resigned as host of ‘Vild med dans’ after 12 seasons as host of the programme.
Subsequently, Sarah Grünewald and Christiane Schaumburg-Müller got four seasons together, before TV 2 this season hired a male host to take the lead with Grünewald – namely Martin Johannes Larsen.
Ekstra Bladet spoke to Claus Elming in September about his thoughts on the new male host, and here there were words of praise for Martin Johannes Larsen.
– I have only seen the first program, but I think he got off to a crazy good start, Elming said when Ekstra Bladet met him at the premiere of Wallman’s performance ‘Viva’ in the Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen in September.
– I know Martin, and I spoke to him as recently as last Saturday at a charity event, and there I praised him for his performance. I haven’t seen the program since last Friday, but I think it went well, I could almost sense it in him, Elming concluded.
