Hungarian Foreign Minister said the world is interested in Israel's self-defense

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto wrote on Facebook about a conversation with Israeli Strategic Planning Minister Ron Dermer, which took place on New Year’s Day.

Szijjártó wrote that during the conversation the situation in the Middle East was discussed. “I confirmed that Hungary’s position has not changed: Israel has the right to self-defense and it is in the interests of the entire international community that the terrorist attack that befell Israel is not repeated anywhere in the world,” he wrote.

The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry wrote that Ron Dermer confirmed that the body of a hostage who, in addition to Israeli citizenship, also had Hungarian citizenship, was found in the Gaza Strip. One more person with Hungarian citizenship remains held hostage by Hamas, and the government will continue efforts to free him.
