STOCK EXCHANGE: Wall Street opened up, Broadcom thanks

The group’s earnings per share were $1.42, when LSEGThe analyst expectation collected by , was $1.38. Total revenue slightly missed estimates, coming in at $14.05 billion, compared to analysts’ expectations of $14.09 billion. In connection with the results report, the company gave positive comments about next year’s prospects.

Broadcom’s stock was up almost 20 percent after trading for a while.

Tesla announced a new feature in China that allows the car to autonomously move from a parking space to a nearby location, while remaining in the driver’s line of sight. The news caused Tesla’s stock to rise.
